Airsan Filters Used in New Aircraft Carrier Launch Systems
Problem:
A large US military supplier and engineering group was awarded a US Navy contract to replace steam-powered aircraft launch systems with electromagnetic propulsion systems on carriers. However, the new Electromagnetic Aircraft Launch System (EMALS) generates a tremendous amount of energy and heat, and its electronics and power storage systems have specific air filtration needs.
Solution:
